Today, I simply shocked myself. I have always been a person who hates running. Let me sprint, do some crunches, lift weights, Zumba and shake my hiney anytime, but running- I despise it with every muscle in my body. I just cannot do it. I get about 3/4 of a mile and stop- it is the way it has always been. Today, we had our last Team Challenge for the Biggest Loser. What is so shocking about that? Well, today my two readers, despite my constant hate for running, I ran 4.7 miles.
4.7 freaking miles.
Although there were 1/8 mile check points where we had to endure an insane amount of burpees, crunches, pushups, jumping jacks, lunges, and anything else you want to add in there, I ran, and ran, and ran. I never thought it would end, I never thought my team could make it, but I did and we did.
As I reflect on this shocking day... my knees hurt, my dogs are barking, and I am sure I will not be able to get out of bed in the morning- but I think I may have just found a new best friend. :)
Shocking? I know.
Way to go!!!!! I am proud of you and impressed! I have to start running asap because Nadia and I are running a 5k in December. I have never run that far in my life. :( I will be thinking of you while I am fighting for every breath!
